Papers whose first author is a student are eligible for the Best Student Paper prize.
In order for a paper to be considered as a candidate for this award the following
conditions should be met:
- The first author indicates in the submission form that the paper is candidate to
the prize.
- The lead author is a registered student on an undergraduate course or on an MSc
or PhD program, at the date of submission.
- The first author should present the article at the conference.
- If the work was carried out by more than one student, no more than 2 students can
be eligible to the prize.
- The supervisor of the work should send an email to the Chair of the Technical
Committee to certify that the work presented in the paper is primarily due to the
work of the student.
Papers accepted for the competition will be, in addition to the normal refereeing
process, judged on content and presentation by a group of judges designated by the
Technical Committee.
The Best Student Paper will be announced in the closing session of ConfTele2009.
The value of the price will be 1.000€
