JISIS Simulator

JISIS Simulator is a tool created in Matlab, which allows the simulation of SAW devices. This tool allows you to calculate the IDT's dimensions, choose different types of substrates and presents the main characteristics of the device, for example, the frequency response.

JISIS Project

 

JISIS is a project funded by the portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with collaboration of the Institute of Telecommunications of Aveiro (IT) and Centre of Mechanical Technology and Automation of Aveiro University (TEMA - UA).

JISIS is an academic project in wich the main areas of study are nanotechnologies and electronics.

JISIS proposes a construction of an high frequency SAW Device, where diamond will be deposited on a suitable piezoelectric substrate, using a new nucleation technique known as NNP. In addition to the development of techniques for diamond deposition, the JISIS will explore at least the following lines of research:

  • Study of the electromechanical coupling between the layers of diamond and the piezoelectric material and the consequences thereof, mainly the interaction between mechanical waves in both media;
  • Development of suitable readout electronics for the experimental devices to be fabricated;
  • Experimental studies of the behavior of the fabricated devices in harsh environments, namely in what concerns high temperatures.
