Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) is a private, not-for-profit organization, of public interest, a partnership of nine institutions with research and development in the field of Telecommunications. IT mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of telecommunications. The Aveiro site of Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT-Aveiro) is located at the University of Aveiro Campus and has one of the most impressive record of research outcomes among its pairs in Portugal, been one of the top institutions in published journal and conference papers, as also on the number of patents that it has been involved into. IT Aveiro is also one of the most important institutions in Portugal collaborating in international and national research and development projects, contributing as an economic enabler for Portuguese companies. IT’s outstanding scientific environment, shared among students and researchers, constitute a very active community that aims to captivate and train high-potential young new researchers from all over the world as well as to graduate students.
