GPIB-ETHERNET Controller 1.2 Firmware Update GPIB-ETHERNET Firmware Update 1.6.6.0 (May 14, 2013) This firmware update is for Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller 1.2 units (see picture) only. Please follow these steps to update the firmware on our Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller 1.2. See Release Notes for changes in this and previous versions. Note that all controller settings are reset to factory defaults after an update. Update firmware using Windows PC Download update package and unzip it to a folder on your Windows PC. Disable network firewall or other network security software, if any. Disconnect Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller from GPIB instruments or GPIB cable. Connect Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET controller to PC using an Ethernet hub or switch. Open a command prompt and change directory to the folder where you unzipped the update package Locate Ethernet MAC address of Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller printed on the enclosure bottom. Type updater.exe (Do not include dashes(-) or colons(:) in MAC address.) Wait until update is complete, which could take about 30 seconds. Update firmware using Linux PC Download update package and untar and unzip to a folder on your Linux PC. (Requires 32-bit Linux on x86) Disconnect Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller from GPIB instruments or GPIB cable. Connect Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET controller to PC using an Ethernet hub or switch. Open a command prompt and change directory to the folder where you unzipped the update package Locate Ethernet MAC address of Prologix GPIB-ETHERNET Controller printed on the enclosure bottom. Type ./updater Wait until update is complete, which could take about 30 seconds. You have successfully updated the firmware of your Prologix GPIB-Ethernet controller!
