As required for LXI compliance, the CPX400DP power supply currently supports the VXI-11 discovery protocol on TCP port 1024 and no more. For this reason it is not currently possible to fully remotely control the instrument on a 'discovered' TCP/IP VISA resource via port 1024. The instrument uses 2 sockets on TCP port 9221 for complete remote control and monitoring. To use the supplied drivers it is neccessary to discover the IP address of the instrument using any tool capable of discovering VXI-11 compliant devices such as the Elgar LXI Browser or National Instruments Measurement & Automation Explorer. A TCP/IP resource then needs to be created that manually specifies port 9221 access for the discovered IP address. This can be simplified by accessing the instrument's home page via its web interface and copying and pasting the displayed "VISA TCPIP Resource" into the target application.
